FESTIVAL AND CONGRESS CENTRE – VARNA

Ø      The Festival and Congress Centre – Varna, established in 1986 as an unit of the National Palace of Culture (Sofia), disposes of 11 multifunctional halls with a capacity of 40 to 1000 seats, 3 restaurants, 5 cafes and 2 summer cafe – terraces, situated under one roof of 4000 sq. m. in the most animated street in Varna – along the boulevard at the central entry of the Seaside Park and only 50 m away of the beach alley.

Ø      Constructed after a project of Arch. Kosyo Hristov, with its 80000 cubic meters, almost half of which underground, with its clear outlines and modern silhouette, the building looks impressive and elegant at the same time, and nowadays is one of the architecture epitomes of Varna.

Ø      Between 5 and 15 events of different character are held daily in the halls of the Festival and Congress Centre – Varna.

Ø      The image of the FCC as a centre of the events is supported by over 2000 movie screening per year, a lot of concerts in all genres, theatre performances, literature evenings, children's matinees and shows, art exhibitions, various expositions, international and branch congresses, conferences, seminars, presentations of companies, trainings, national and all-the-town celebrations, balls, cocktails, receptions.

Ø      The Festival and Congress Centre is a co-organizer of more than 10 annual festivals, and in 1993 it became the initiator and organizer of the oldest international film festival with competition for feature films in Bulgaria – the International Film Festival Love Is Folly.

Ø      The Festival and Congress Centre is the face of Bulgaria in the only Pan – European chain of cinema halls EUROPA CINEMAS and in such prestigious international congress organizations as ECM, ICCA and AIPC.
